Notes From the Cliff
I have had 2 meals officially at The Cliff, so now I can give it a proper review. Thumbs up on their turkey burger, that thing is perfect. The bun was so soft, not too fluffy and not too dense. Fries are thin and crisp, and even the side of cole slaw was good and I generally can’t stand that stuff.
The following night I had their grill cheese, which was mediocre. They use sourdough bread, which was a little too hard, and their cheese blend needs some tweaking. But, like any new restaurant, worth its salt, the food is likely to improve after they have had some feedback, so I am not too concerned.
The service is good, the prices are fair but the atmosphere, much like the hotel, is where it is at. I never saw the place before they rennovated it, but I am sure it is a thousand times better than when those doors first opened. It’s like Mel’s Diner collided with West Elm.
This addition makes the Belmont one of the premier spots to meet up before a night out. Grab an inexpensive bite to eat, head over to the bar and then off you go, complimentary valet and all.
Big ups to the Hotel Belmont once again.
