Looks like we have a new artist residency program forming in Dallas called La Reunion. Good to have something new after the demise of the UTD/Southside residency. Speaking of residencies, Artpace is now taking submissions for 2008. Might be worth a shot — they occasionally choose somebody outside San Antonio.

“La Reunion will be a Dallas-based
artist residency program. It will provide studio
space and housing to two artists at a time
working in new and traditional media, from
Dallas and around the world.

Our executive director Sarah Jane Semrad has
secured a donation of land in the hilly Oak
Cliff neighborhood for our future home. The
35-acre wooded property is across the street
from the prestigious Dallas National Golf Club
and is bordered on one side by the Chalk Hill
Trail (for hiking and biking from the
Westmoreland DART light rail station to Pinnacle
Park).”
