The last time I checked…
The last time I checked, there were 9 bloggers on dallas.metblogs.com. Why have there been no posts from some of them in such a long time?
Possible answers:
1) bored with the site
2) nothing is happening in dallas
3) forgot all about it
4) are forever putting off posting something till tomorrow
5) got hungry
6) went on vacation
7) forgot their login
8) writers block
9) computer crashed
10) fallen and can’t get up
In my case, 1 thru 4. I might as well drop out…
And here I was…all ready to post today about some fabulous signage on 183.
I feel sometimes like I am having to choose – is this good for metblogs or personal blog? I also thought there would be more about this weeks voting results.
maybe the reason we post less in dallas is because we don’t get paid to post and we don’t like to do things in dallas for free== or maybe we just have less to say/write than bloggers in other cities since dallas is a “just do it” place rather than a thinking person’s town== or maybe it has something to do with an alien force.
My opinion for less post for Dallas than other cities is lack of involvement.
I’ve been living in Dallas for nearly 3 yrs and there is zero buzz about this place. It’s lifeless.
Other than shopping, the Cowboys and Mavericks, you are not likely to have the type of discussions and involvement that you do in other cities.
Dallas will never have the creative energy of New York or San Francisco, but for a city of over 1 million souls, it’s pathetic how lethargic the population at large is.
Dallas should get a clue from Ft.Worth.
This place is sad.
I’m off to New York next year and I can’t wait.
nyc is grand–the center of the universe–i lived there and loved nyc for five years–but dallas is a cool place to find yourself via consumption, so why can’t we post about our desires?
ANOTHER POSSIBILITY: we are all dead in dallas, we are merely ghosts of our former flesh selves, so we have only the shadows of ideas and the shadows of intentions: hence there is nothing to say and no need to say nothing.
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
