Trader Vic’s Will Return!

Ahhh. The venerable Trader Vic’s will make its triumphant return to Dallas next year, at the new Hotel Palomar at Mockingbird and Central. Trader Vic’s, the home of the original mai tai, was at the same location for years, back when the old Hilton was in its heyday and Bob Hope had a penthouse suite there. So now, the only questions left are: what sort of food will Trader Vic’s have and will it be worth the hassle of getting there after this intersection gets even more clogged with traffic?

YES!!! I can’t tell you how many hours I spent at the old Trader Vic’s. Aside doing a little business and visiting my mother and my daughter, this re-opening finally gives me a REAL reason to go to Dallas.

I am so thrilled to hear it’s returning. I just hope they remember to bring back their egg rolls from 20 years ago. They were big enough to share and without equal!
