Au Contraire Mon Fr

Some metblogger said hockey season is over. I must disagree. There is awesome minor league hockey available in the metroplex. If you’re a fight hockey fan you should go West and see the Fort Worth Brahmas play. This is the hockey you love – fast paced with great puck handling and amazing plays. Plus, minor league hockey is, how shall we say this, lightly officiated. So the players really mix it up on the ice. Awesome.

As a special treat this weekend the Brahmas are going retro – playing at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum and wearing the old style Ranger jerseys. Here are the retro games at the Will:

Fort Worth Brahmas Vs Oklahoma City Blazers – Mar 4, 2005 7:30 PM (free puck night!)
Fort Worth Brahmas Vs Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs – Mar 5, 2005 7:30 PM (free t-shirt!)
Fort Worth Brahmas Vs Austin Ice Bats – Mar 6, 2005 3:00 PM

Tickets start at a mere 12 dollars.

Thanks Christie. I am happy to stand corrected on the hockey issue. And just as happy to see “tier two” athletics come to the forefront.

There’s something a lot more fun about seeing these young, struggling, good hearted athletes play, versus overpayed crybaby NHL players.
