Curves Ahead
If I had to say one thing about Texas highways, it would be that they are straight. Highways on either coast curve and wind. Here a highway goes due East or West with no swagger in its path.
Which explains the daily game of automotive dodgeball we’ve got going on I-30. Due to the construction the road takes a semi-sharp jag. This is completely unexpected by drivers unfamiliar with the construction site. Go precisely straight for 50 or so miles and you come to expect that this straight path will continue.
That little section of construction has a bunch of tire marks where cars skid straight into the barriers. And there’s a near miss accident every day when the driver of one vehicle accidentally continues straight into next lane.
Drivers Alert: There is now a bend in the road on I-30. Please don’t crash into me.
