Buh-bye Virgin

So it’s official: The Virgin Megastore on Mockingbird will be closing its doors on June 18th.
I say good riddance…that place was way too expensive and it couldn’t hold a candle to all the awesome local record stores we have in Dallas-such as Good Records and my personal favorite CD World.

They will be having a big Farewell Sale, so go stock up on Fallout Boy shirts while the gettin’s good. :)

Whoa! I never would’ve expected them to close. But I do know the prices were too high. I think I’ll have to go check out the sales (if any) this weekend.

Huh…that’s one huge retail space to fill. Wonder what will go in there, maybe a slick new Kmart? That would be awesome. Insert valley girl accent, “Mom, like, can you drop us off at Mockingbird Station? We wanna go to Urban Outfitters and hit the new K.”

I’ve managed to save up roughly $30350 in my bank account, but I’m not sure if I should buy a house or not. Do you think the market is stable or do you think that home prices will decrease by a lot?

What a terrible location. I bet they thought it was chic, but who wants to buy records in such a snotty environment with clunky parking.
