A gang of us had a tour of Lake Cliff Tower which is an Oak Cliff building being developed into lofts. You can see it from downtown and as you can see from my photograph it affords a pretty perfect view of downtown too.

It was built originally as a hotel and on the 10th floor underneath old AC units can be seen a mosaic of a compass that formed the center of the ballroom. That part is being converted into the penthouse.

It languished for many years after having been a nursing home. The surrounding land is also being modernised with shops, a gym etc. You could walk across the Zang Birdge and be downtown in under 15 minutes. Pretty cool. Priced from about $180,000 to $570,000. They reported almost 75% of available spaces reserved.
